Top 6 Things to see before 2012

Time is a lot like chocolate – it’s gone before you know it.

The holidays are almost over and you’re pretty much set to start 2012. However there’s still plenty to do before you start counting down.

Here are my top picks:

Know anything else that is closing/expiring before 2012. Let’s hear them!

Follow Alice to Wonderland – the Musical

It’s very fitting that Wonderland has come to Broadway – to New York City, even. In the city you can find new places to eat ever day, discover new places that were never there before, and you pretty much think everyone is mad as a hatter.

Wonderland – the Musical starts out like all fairytales: a young woman goes on a life-altering adventure. Except this one happens to take place below the streets of NYC.

The adventure starts April 19. Previews will start March 21st, and you can start purchasing tickets February 14 (hint: if you’re not sure on a Valentine’s gift, this is a great idea to start).

Hope to see you there!

See Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson for $50

Ever imagined what any of our founding fathers would be if they were a twenty-something, emo rock star? From the mind of Michael Friedman, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a musical rendition about just that. Dealing with populism, the Indian Removal act, and of course making time for his wife Rachel, Andrew Jackson has complicated life story that can only be illustrated through song and dance.

The producers of the show would like to show their political support with their “Jackson for a Grant” initiative which offers $50 tickets to the show through November 24th.
